HoldS and Locate Requests

Place a Hold on a book

From the library catalog, you can place a HOLD on a book that is checked out by clicking on "Request Item". A hold prevents the current borrower from renewing the book, and when it is returned, it will be placed on hold for you. You will then receive notification via email that the book is available for pickup at the library.

Locate items

Requst Form

If you are having trouble locating an item on the shelf, library staff can attempt to find it and place it back in its proper location. We will look for the book and let you know when we find it. This will NOT prevent someone else from checking it out.

You may make a request in person at the Circulation Desk in D.H. Hill Library or at any branch library. For D.H. Hill Library only, you may make a request online.
